Don't Quit!!
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill
When funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As everyone of us sometimes learns
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out
Don't give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst that you must not QUIT!

Meant to be?
But then again, on the verge of giving up, you feel like you are a coward...how can I do that???!!!
Give up is not in my dictionary...it's the vocabulary for the weak and pessimists...and Christy is just NOT that...
But somehow being a fighter and also a kiasu+ perfectionist may not be such a good thing as it can be a weakness despite its trait that it motivates one to work hard and be successful in what they do.
I want to do this; I know I do and most importantly, I know I can...coz nothing's impossible.
But also, is this what I really want to do?
And let's face it, we face human doubts from time to time and those negative thoughts (much as I try to filter them) still creep in and cloud my thoughts...
Do you really think you can do it?
What's the point of doing this?
Why don't you go ahead and do something which you enjoy?
*SIGHHH*
I don't want to give up....never ever....and furthermore, I must give it a try first; who knows I will be able to make it work.
All I need is time....Thomas Edison took 1,000 failures before he invented the first light bulb, the Wright brothers was ridiculed and failed uncountable times before they came up with the first flying plane, Tunku Abdul Rahman failed his law exams more than 10 times before he finally became a lawyer.....so, success may be near when it seemed so far...so Christy must not and will not give up!!
Try try try
Never say die
Just time is all I need
to make myself succeed!!
All I need is time.....and more faith in myself!
After all, Rome was not built in a day....

Trips trips trips work work work
Haven't been blogging in DPCSP diary for more than 2 weeks now I suppose.....been busy with travel...hehe; not on business travel (fat chance, don't sense any signs of long distance travel for business as of now due to the freezing).I went to 2 islands, a city and a small town....and all in 2 weekends!!~ Not bad ler; hectic and packed travelling....busy busy busy:pI went to Langkawi about a fortnight ago...with my GPTW gang. This was like my 3rd time to this island and I can say that nothing much changed on this island...it still looks untouched since my last visit which was last year with my own working group of colleagues:pThis round was rather boring of a visit; I may say coz there was really nothing much to do on this island. I am still compiling my pictures to be shared on my blogs.
The other trip was to Pangkor; a small fishing village which has nothing much as well but I took more pics over there compared to Langkawi...haha!~
Besides that, mostly are work, work, and work lorrr....sighs! Been pretty busy these days and I find my mind constantly bogged with work...it's not such a big deal actually, just that I always want everything to be perfect and work smoothly:p
Also, weather's been pretty HOT HOT and HOT here....(now why am I tripling all my words to describe everything:p )....it's really HIGH temperature here in Penang compared to KL(which is still greeted by occasional showers). It's the Chinese New Year weather here in Penang....sighs! I really hate hot weathers...and it's so dry,etc....
Do remember to drink more water, and also do not laze around too much; help out with all those spring cleaning, etc.
Have a nice day!~

A gal born in January...
Happy Birthday to me...
Happy Birthday to Christyyyyyyyyyy
Happy Birthday to me!!!!
YIPPPEEEEE.....Cheers to Christy (me) !!!~
***Hmmm...it rhymes very well* :)
On this day in January,
A member was added to the family,
Oh, a sweet little baby
A little girl she turned out to be
who was named Christy as you can see
and this diary is all about her story.
Pretty and beautiful she is not
in fact she can easily get bored
but friends are what she makes a lot
who sticks through the weather rain or hot
A fussy and picky girl she is
With lotsa quirks in her list
You can call her a zany miss
And mind, she is no Mensa whiz
Fish, fruits veg are her fave food
which also varies according to her mood
and don't go near when she broods
else wish you're in another neighbourhood
Red, pink,yellow, white,blue
These are all her favourite hue
Ain't the blog a good enough clue
Describing her character so true
And there are just some things she will never do
Alcohol,cards,cigar to name a few
And a weirdo sometimes she is too
if you know her these are nothing new
Like it or not she's just not you
Not all about her is bad
Through the blog you have read
There are qualities in her she had
Oh, proud she took after her mum and dad :)
This is just a tiny little tipsy
To talk about her is a long story
The likes and hates a many
so stay tune to her blog daily
about this girl born in January
And to wish her a very
Happy Birthday to Christy(me)!!~

A wonderful birthday celebration last year.....thanks to my colleagues and friends who have specially organized and thrown me those surprise birthday parties and celebrations....really touched.
Thanks loads.....I will never forget those....
Shall I sing myself a birthday song soon? Hehehe....*giggles*

Shipyard up north...
Birthday Cakes...
What I want....
So ya, this little spoilt brat's big day is coming soon...and I mean REALLY soon.....and looking forward to it too....*whoopee*
Now....let's sit down and keep a straight and clear mind on what and how I am thinking of celebrating and welcoming YET, another year older:p
Number 1: Of course, what's more important than having a HAPPY and great DAY?? Is that even a question too much to ask?
Number 2: Watching the SUNRISE....just like LAST year....SUPERB and just so romantic....seeing the day comes to live..on the day I was born....
Number 3: Of course, though sad, I want to watch SUNSET as well...as they all say, there's always the beginning and the end....and since I watch the starting part...it'd be good to close it with the ending.....like the Chinese saying (direct translation: "There's head and tail")
* Furthermore, I just have this penchant for Sunrise and sunsets....they always seem so amazing and magnificent....God's creation*
Number 4: SEASIDE!!!! That's also a great place to be by...hehehe.....and I was there last year....beautiful *winks*
Number 5: Hmmmm...wonder whether it will be too much to ask for if I want to go to shipyards and harbour-set areas....:p
Number 6: A cake? Hehehe....I know...I just don't fancy cakes and sweet stuffs...and I don't really do cakes.....nothing to do with weight watching despite what you ladies want to think (well, think all you like...I do what I like and live for myself, if you want to please yourself that people are always in the slimming mode; assuming there's nothing else ladies have to do like you...then suit yourself and think whatever you want:p )
Cakes will be cool....to me, whether I like it or not...somehow cakes made its mark into benchmarking and the typical and conventional trademark to signify birthdays....and yeah...it feels more like a BIRTHDAY when you have a cake...hehehe.
Also, getting rather superstitious...coming to think of it, last year was the first year in history I didn't get a cake on the actual day itself (yeah, my colleagues had a birthday celebration with me the day before and they got me an ice-cream cake) but there was just no cake on the day itself...and look at my whole year...miserable and full of ups and downs...
So, perhaps I should after all, associate cakes with my auspicious and smooth sailing year ....haha...
I remembered that there were a couple of years I had 2-3 birthday cakes even...thanks to all my friends out there....but the record was this year where i had 4 CAKES!!! Woohoooo.........
*I know, I don't really do cakes and still want cakes...too MUCH man, this spoilt girl....total waste of money and effort to raise her.....*blushes*
Okay, in short....yeah, a cake would be nice hor.....hehehe:p
7. A party celebration and also with friends...I really do miss those big hangouts and gatherings...just chillin out
8. My FAMILY....*sobS*
9. I really do like those romantic celebrations as well.....oh well, I am a confused gal:P
10.PRESENTS and cards....hehehe.....not asking but isn't that the best part about birthdays? And I always tell people that it doesn't really matter but it still feels good and touches me to the core to hold and receive a present in my hand; oooo...and especially when it is a surprise...you know, those "Oh my gosh, you got me a present??!!" or "Oh my.....that's for me? You really don't have to!" and "Wowwww.....oh my, I really didn't expect that".....and just "THANK you so much....Love you!!"
Hehehe.....even cards count a lot.....
11. Birthday calls and wishes from distant friends.....it just feels nice to be remembered....and defintely pleased when people who are so busy these days take some time to actually recall and remember this little date that marks the birth of others...and for me, I don't really see myself as that important *blushes*
Though sad to say, last year my bestie forgot my birthday...but then again, she gave me a belated birthday wish...texted me...so well, thanks bestie...it really meant a lot to me!!
12. A nice meal....haven't thought of what I might wanna eat...hehe...yeah, there is also a time when this picky and no-fan-of-food thinks of eating...hehehe....
some choices probably count such as Western vs Eastern?
Hahaha......Western? Fish /seafood platter?
Chinese? - Seafood and vege?
Korean?
Italian...?
German...?
hahaha.....I am confusing myself...really don't know....
Seafood?Haha...of course.....that's like the only food I LOVE...
13. Red bean...haha, there I go again...I do have this insane thing all of a sudden...these few days especially....but I do wish that there will be some nice red stuffs for my birthday this year...hehe...nothing auspicious and also superstitious lar...just thinking of red bean....and I can't decide whether I want the chilled/ice-blended version of the soup dessert version.... *dreams*
14. BIG cuddly soft toy...like from Disney....hehehe...they are very expensive...but it doesn't hurt to think of them sometimes...and though childish, but hey, I just mentioned I am still young or a kid at heart, didn't I?
15. A birthday song...haha...anyone wants to sing for me?
16. Midnight waits....hehehe....stroke of midnight to mark the day itself and also the last second to midnight for the end of the day and that I'd have to wait all over again.....for the next year *sighs*
17. A ride in a boat....woww...ultimate.....
18. Wearing a nice attire...hehehe....vain:p
19. Balloons...haha, but UncleChan needs to keep away from it....before he goes popping it off and scaring some other people out there...and no, no more of those Anti-drugs campaign thingy balloons handed out.....I'd love those pink ones...haha...
20. Birthday hugs and kisses....a way to remind me that I am still loved and remembered....Daddy, Mummy...bro, miss you guys lots....
21. A great Birthday BASH celebration.....
22. A surprise birthday turnout...birthday wishes or celebrations from the unexpected crowd or people I'd never dream would even know or remember my birthday *winks*
23. Flowers? And chocolates (nahhhhh, don't even dream of those...) but hey, chocs can be replaced by my fave strawberries....hehehe.....
24. What's the FInal one....hmmmm, I am running out of ideas.....:P
Growing up??
Dang....I am happy but at the same time, gotta admit that it's freaking me out and also, secretly, I am kinda dreading it.
Yeah....I know....it's weird....if you know me, I am one who LOVES and I really mean, look forward to my birthdays...in fact, it was my top favourite and most anticipated occasion in a year besides Christmas!!
But I have to admit that I tried to block this out since my 20th and 21st birthday....just feels like I am getting older...and it doesn't feel so good anymore....*sighs*
I know, humans evolve and we grow with age......we have to go through the same aging process....like it or not....but well.....I am dealing with it....
You probably think I am some kind of vain and really conceited or even childish and foolish to think of this...haha.....but I thought it was common that people want to stay young?:p
Anyway...whatever it is....I should just face it, deal with it and why bother?
I can still stay young at heart....let's just welcome the age...and hehe....whatever we do, do it with pride and take it in stride...
So, big question answered...and YEAH, I still LOVE and look forward to my birthday and I want to grow up...haha...proudly....and gracefully...
Most importantly, life is short, why dwell and make ourselves unhappy when we can be HAPPY, right?
Hehehe.......so....crossing my fingers and waiting for the day....SOON.....:p
Jolly Red Bean
Whatever....I stumbled upon this red bean thingy the other day in MidValley while shopping....and it was the Yao Yao Ping...yeah....Ice-blended Red Bean....Yippeee.....
Princess do so love Red beans...and top it off with Ice-blended.....mmmmmm.....just heavenly:p
I was so hyper that they have this...and they were doing a promotion at that time; this cup costs about RM4.....
I still remember those times when I was on my first business trip to Shanghai and during those freezing winter nights, was still having some iced red bean or green bean....haha....superb:p
Red bean red bean red bean.....
There's a couple of different types of Red bean actually......there's the Kidney beans; which is the larger one of the lot and is slightly curved like a "C" shape in nature thus earning the name of kidney...it shapes like a kidney...and then there are a couple of variations of the smaller red beans...one of the common ones include the Tianjin Red Bean....hehe...mostly used in the Red Bean soup.....
Oooo...and my fave when it comes to Red bean soup is when they use those combination type of red beans in the dessert *winks*
Hmmmmm.....red bean soup is also a nice and sweet dessert....not too sweet lar.....I do not really fancy a lot of sweet stuffs.....
In fact, you'd be surprised to know that I initially didn't really have any preference for this red bean dessert but somehow, I started liking it after some time...and dang, here I am today...yakking away about this beans....:p
But it'd be nice to be able to see these or even taste them....just sudden craving......*hint*....hehehe.....muacks red beans....the Jolly and good ol' red beans:P
I wish I wish I wish
Well, 2006 is over...and now is the time to welcome year 2007...sounds like a Bond year:p
