Pampering myself

Yeah...after that hair treatment, though expensive for my normal standards (Princess can be quite frugal sometimes:p), I kinda felt that I should be spoiling myself more.
You know, getting these treatments and pampering sessions:)

So, let me think of a list for those prima donnas; what do they usually do for luxury:
1. Facial care
2. Hair treatment
3. Manicure
4. Pedicure
5. Spa and massage
6. Aromatherapy
7. Scrubs for the body and feet

Wowwww...so much stuffs...I will be broke if I go for all that:p
Maybe if I am a rich tai tai or a rich career lady, I may consider :)

Luxury for my crown of glory

Went for a haircut the other day and also some treatment.
Thought about this some time and I needed to maintain some healthy locks (long hair makes your hair more vulnerable and more fragile).
Reason is simple; the longer your hair, the farther the distance from the scalp (root of everything). Thus, nutrition may not reach to the end of your hair; thus creating weaker hair ends.
I went to Gurney Plaza and decided between these 2 hair saloons; one of which had more young guys with punky hair and the other was the Loreal Professional with ladies, mature ladies:)
Haha....of course, after a short while, I decided to go for the latter (I have done my survey the other time:p)

So I went into the saloon where I was seated and I told them I wanted some treatment for my hair. So they recommended me this spa treatment to cleanse and protect the hair; strengthening the roots...on promotion for RM118.
I wanted to cut my hair as well so off started my hair session.
I was served a hot cup of tea and given 2 magazines to browse through - though I brought along a clip of a haircut I kinda like:)
They washed my hair and this lady was quite friendly and told me that hair was the crown of glory for women and that women fear hair loss the most:p
Haha...to me, another marketing gimmick....
when you go to slimming center, then they will tell you, women fear weight gain the most; go to cosmetics counter; women fear aging the most, etc etc.

But she was pretty good with my hair; washed it tenderly then dried it.
After that, she splattered some cold stuffs; the hair spa treatment using a wide brush and did it layer by layer.
It was really soothing and relaxing:)
She wrapped it up and turned on this equipment which rotated around my head; which exhaled/exuded hot air now and then...for drying purpose:)
Then hair wash again....and waiting for the next service.

Then another lady came in; introducing herself as May.
She did my haircut - and she actually even recommended certain length - not too short.
Hehehe...I am liking her already:)
For me, bottom line is the length of the hair should never surpass the length that can be tied or made up.
Means, no boy cut etc for me...else I will howl the whole place down!!!
Worse than a plague if I get a bad hair cut:(

So, she cut my hair in a very professional way; you know....not horizontally straight but in a jagged way vertically:)
Unique huh; had a light banter with her and she told me she did learn on hair cutting for 6 months (only the basics).
Then they had to go for apprenticeship too.... not just simply come out to do hair cutting etc.
So, she gave me her name card and told me to look her up the next time I go there.
The best part about it all is that she never pushed me to purchase any product at all.
Everything is at customer's will....
And she did encourage for the treatment to be done regularly but she mentioned it's up to me:)

So there goes my long locks; traded in place for the short shoulder length bob I have now...hehe, kinda like Chae Rim from All About Eve now...feel professional and lighter too:)
Comments that look younger:D

See the seaaaaaaaaaa.....

Yeahhh...my condo unit is actually facing this new hip happening mall on the island and also a bit of the eroded sea...haha....heading towards Jerejak.

Supposed to be great, I used to think I am gonna love staying near the sea and looking at it each day.
Sighs...now I kinda dislike it.
Within the first week; I still opened my window for the fresh air...but then I was greeted with humidity and sticky feeling each day when I wake up.
Now I have given up hope on it; and I am worried about staying near the sea too.
The salty breeze may not be good for long term...of course it's fun for short term or when you are on vacation (coz you are either in air-conditioned room or you are there for a short few days).
Will my car get rusty too?
Sighhhh......sign that I may move out again soon?

Moving house :)

SO I finally shifted out; since my landlord's flying back from US:)
Found this place near Queensbay...condo which promised me my own carpark lot...yeayy:)
It's been a tiring quest for me; looking for a place to stay - somemore with carpark.
You can't really have the best of both worlds; either you get the one without carpark but covered your bills and nice price; or you get one without bills but with carpark and the list goes on.
All the varying permutations combinations when comes to choosing the right place....so cham:(

So, I have this housemate who's from Singapore....haha, yes, she's from Singapore:)
Wonder why a Singaporean would come to work in Malaysia when it's usually the other way round?Haha...well, there were some reasons too and I am sure she can't wait to go back to Singapore.
In fact, she travels home to Singapore every weekend; now, don't simply judge ya...I don't blame her, she misses home.
It may be pricey....though she takes the nightly bus every Friday.
I also think she's probably quite well-off too.....hmmm, she was the master tenant, and she paid for the extra glass window at the verandah when entering the apartment (for security reasons).
Seems that the landlord refused to install that; so she insisted and offered to chip in RM500 (still SGD 200++).
Wowww......

And she also takes the cab to work every day; RM10 per trip...totalling to RM20 in one day for travel expenses alone:p

Anyway...I spent 2 and a half days moving my stuffs; making several trips to fit in all my stuffs.
Haha.....pai seh....I do have loads of stuffs...
And my room...kinda small...initially thought it was okay; but after fitting all my stuffs, not so anymore:(

Bought a canvas wardrobe for my clothes and also a metal bed frame:p
*Princess mar....prefer to sleep on a proper bed:P *
My friend got me a table from his home...thanks so much!!!:D

Then went to get another plastic tier drawer to sort out my stuffs.....sighs.....
I have so much stuffs......
*Dizzy lar*
This is the first time I ever move into a place without any furniture at all:(
Come to think of it, I am really lucky all this while; first year in Melaka - there's Emerald Park (new apartment opposite my uni - and first batch of inhabitants:)
Then 3 years in hostel consecutively, then my first house when i started work also came with furniture, bills and car park.
Then my boss's house.
This is the FIRST...without furniture, bills....only 1 covered car park which I also had to pay for the security deposit:(

Netball!

Yikes!!
My department's sports carnival coming soon and all of us are in different teams.
With the 2 joint games; soccer and netball, each sports group need to send out their teams to participate and my name was listed!!!
Arrrrrggggghhhhh.....
Then somemore, almost fainted when they told me my sports captain (a manager) named me as team captain!!!
What team captain?
I only played at the Wing last time; how can I play Center (usually team captain is the center or vice versa; however you put it:p)
Netball is a really swift game man......and need to be really fast....
Center is the most versatile one and allowed to roam freely around the court except at the goal areas.
yerrr....don't really wanna play lar....parents also kinda object as they are afraid I may be blown away and also exhausted (am kinda weak:p)

Well, why? For the following reasons:
1. SUN...yes, the sun, sun AND sun....those harmful UV rays, what if they make me fall sick? And what if it burns my skin....yikes!!!
2. Injuries....what if I fall down? Scratches, pain, wounds, and NOOOOOOOOOO...don;t want to think about it, scars:(:(:(
3. Pushed around by other players - yeah, if I happen to forget mentioning this, netball players can be or actually really rough!! And they really do anything to get you out of the way....trust me...despite all the rules....
My friend just showed me the scars on her elbow when she fell down....and she was also shoved in the abdomen....OUCH!
4. Loss of credibility - someone seems to think I am school team player....so, what if I don't play so well?Aiks...then I will be known as the lousy player from then:(
5. It's FRIDAY....yes, it's supposed to be a Friday!!! So, I want to go home!!!
YERRRRR!!!

Mum and Dad are here!!

My beloved Mummy and Daddy are finally here with me, yeayyyyy!!
Am so happy that they are around....no more longing nights when I hear people going home to their families:)
I am not such a homesick crybaby okay, but it's just that kind of feeling when you are away from home and you know, just coming home to an empty house without family is really sad:(
Also,it feels good when you have a hard day at work(things don't go your way and you are just darn miserable) to have someone to talk to or hug and tell you that everything's going to be okay.
I really missed the homely feel where there's people around you.
Sometimes we human really take things for granted; we always assume that everything is given and sometimes grumble/wish that you can have otherwise.
But in fact, when it is taken away from you, that's where you will be forlorn and wish things to be restored.
If you watched Home Alone, remember Macaulay McCulkin wished away his family and actually believed he made it happen (when his family actually flew off on vacation)?
He was gleeful and exhilarated in the beginning only; but when he finally settled down, he felt the loneliness and loss and wished things to be restored.

Sometimes, I really feel like just leaving everything and going back to my family to be with them:(
I really missed Mummy, Daddy and bro....

My fave TV character

Hosted by RockYouPhotos.com
Lorelai Gilmore Jr aka Rory; now she's one of my favourite TV character.
A studious and serious girl, I couldn't help liking her since the first time I saw her in the widely acclaimed WB series which hit the little screen.
That bond with her mom; the serious side and innocence of Rory and all her naive actions; too annoyingly punctual, too serious with her studies (setting aside time for studies) sometimes really remind myself of me.
I used to be like that; studying was everything to me....really anxious about getting my homework and revision done on time; no disturbances/noises when I am studying.
And when I am studying, I AM studying...no TV, no shopping...until I get these stuffs done.
Sounds like I have no life? Not really lar; just that I always have my targets and set myself to aim for them. Hahaha....don't call me ace; I am just a normal girl who wants good grades to realize my ambition.
Ooooo...by the way, we even share the similar defiance in protesting against unjust (yes, I can be quite fierce when I want too....against cruelty, violence, uncivilization) and also she's also good in debates.
Another thing, we share the same love for writing....I really love writing.

Just decided to do a post on Rory; she is one of the girls whom I love on TV:) Blue eyes, rosy cheeks, blond hair and fair complexion, what is there not to like about her? ;)
