Annual Dinner- Pre Event

Hmmm, I know this is really an overdue post and it is gonna be a long post as well on the preparations and also on the events of the night:)

Anyway, I have already posted on the pre-event story on my other blog and thus, this will center more on my personal preparations and also the happenings of the night:D

As mentioned before, the event took place in the oldest, dearest and most prestigious hotels in Penang; the E&O (Eastern & Oriental Hotel) which I personally felt do not deserve the creditable title as I have related in my other blog.

So, I was part of the organizing committee...hehe...and look at this; the invitation card - amazing huh?

** By the way, the theme was actually a color theme which is obviously as shown here; Red, Black & White....

These invitation cards are self-made by our president herself....really diligent and a creative young lady:)

I am really impressed by the quality of the cards themselves; bet she really took a lot of time and effort in this....way to go gal!! :)

And this is the poster for the event; which was designed and produced by the secretary...another creative and artistic guy:)

Looking at the size of the ballroom; don't think it is that grand after all, huh?:P

I kinda think it is a little too small to be called Grand...not a deserving name:)

And this is how the hotel management helped to match our theme for the event....I kinda like the decor for the tables...really chic for the theme *winks*

They gave us the inset spread of black cloth and then garnished with the red napkin cloths on the table and then the chairs are clothed in creamy satin sash.

Not bad, huh?

And this is the backdrop wordings on our stage...can you believe that they actually made a mistake when they posted this wordings?

Man, I was really shocked and unimpressed that a grand hotel like this can actually make a mistake in the spelling when we provided them with the word for word and clearly printed copy of the theme and the title for the backdrop.

Thank God we were there in the afternoon after lunch to check on them; otherwise imagine what would happen if we were to see the mispelt wordings during the opening of the event?:(

Oooo...finally the time of the event....guests are arriving.....

Look at the nice plateau they have outside the hotel for the guests to take in the sea view before the start of the event?

Most of them hung out there for picture taking and also to enjoy the sea view:)

Seated guests in the ballroom....these chose not to ruin their hair with the incoming sea breeze...haha...you know the effects and the smell you are gonna have on your hair with the blowing sea breeze:p
