Sometimes, I do ask myself this question, what do I really want out of my own life, and what do I want to do?
I am passionate about a lot of things, and yet, if you were to ask me, what do I really really WANT most out of all my favorites, I realized there is only one answer.
I LOVE writing as much as I love reading.
Words and speech, they are practically my soul and life.
I love how words can describe so many things (maybe not everything) and how one's emotions can be told through different types of words.
I love how words can be weaved together to tell a story, or to represent a person's tale which can be strung together to be a life story.
I love how words can make people feel better/worse with immediate effect.
Words are indeed powerful tools, and look at how it has gotten people around the world in connection with each other.
Put them together, and you have another term, COMMUNICATION.
It is a term known to everyone but yet at the same time, neglected at times too.
People pursuing fields in communication are rarely viewed as holding important careers compared to doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc.
However, how true is that?
Communication is the key to everything, how else could one succeed in life without communication?
I love to communicate; be it through writing or through speech, although I do prefer the former, I could just let myself freely when I am with my pen.
I have been writing since young; in fact, I found my love in writing at a tender age of five.
After reading my story books, I always felt compelled to spin a story of my own and hope to get it published.
I have written short stories, and documentary articles, and I have won essay competitions (one even got me a trip to USA for the first time)
Slowly, I even start to develop the inspiration for poetry, but I dare not compare myself to great poets out there as I am just an amateur when it comes to poetry.
Poetry is a beautiful art, it paints words and presents it in a different way/language altogether which just sounds like a song to one's ears.
As I look back at how I have traveled so far; from short stories to essays to documentary articles, to dramatic stories, to poetries and blogs and even reviews, I am happy to say that I have learnt along the way.
One dream I still harbour to this day is; to publish my very own book.
I don't intend to turn into Enid Blyton or JK Rowling or any famous authors for that sake, but just suffice to make myself happy that I have my books published and I can share my stories with everyone (if I do get famous, I thank the Lord and people who love my stories!)
I am working towards that dream, and I thank those of you who have been encouraging me through your great words, they do help a lot!
I welcome feedback, and if you are looking for someone to write for you, I am ready to be hired too *winks*
